THERE WAS ONCE A SNOWFLAKE that really loved dancing. She even had a big dream, that she would one day become a great ballerina and that everyone would admire her talent.
"You'll never be a ballerina, as you have corners instead of feet", the other snowflakes told her strictly one cold winter day when they saw her dancing. She burst into tears to hear it, yet dug her heels in. To prove them her worth, she looked for a dancing school. She searched everywhere in the city, but found none with open doors to get in, as it was night and a storm was raging outside. At some point she came across a half-open window in a dance school through which she sneaked. First, she made sure there was no one inside, and indeed, there was not a soul to be found. Certain that she would go unnoticed, she pressed the key on the cd player to enjoy some music. No sooner had she made her first ballet move, however, than she found herself lying on the floor, as she had no feet to help her stand and her corners made her slip on the parquet. "If only I had feet like others...", she whispered to herself and cried once more. Many hours passed, and she kept crying to herself. When at some point her tears dried up, she glanced at the moonlight outside the window and wished that she would become a real ballerina, if only for a moment. Then, it seemed to her as if a fairy flew right above her and enchanted her with her magic wand. A strong, cold breeze blew from the open window and lifted the snowflake in the air. Within a few seconds, the breeze became a strong whirlwind, which swept everything along, our good snowflake included. "Why don't you dance with me?", it seemed as if the fairy voice was heard saying out of nowhere. The snowflake was scared at first, yet as soon as she realized her wish had been heard, she danced with all her heart, never to touch the floor as she was constantly spinning in the air. So amazed was she even by the grace of her moves, that she danced all night, failing to take notice of the Sun rising in the early morning. When at some point the whirlwind dissolved, she fell asleep on the floor, with a big smile on her face. The fairy then touched her with her magic wand once more, this time turning her into a bunny rag doll that wore a ballerina suit. "What is this toy doing here?", the dance teacher of the school wondered as she walked through the door. She, then, took the rag doll from the floor, wrapped it for a present, and gave it to a poor little girl that loved dancing and had the same dream of one day becoming a great ballerina. Ever since, both the little girl and her rag doll enjoy ballet dancing in the moonlight together....
