A KING once had three lazy sons, whom he loved equally despite their flaws. So lazy were they, that when his time to pass away approached, he got deeply confused as to whom to choose as his heir. As time passed, he simply wished for something to happen that would lift the burden off his shoulder.
The night that he lay on his deathbed, he told his three sons: "My dear children, the time has come for you to take my crown. Yet I cannot give it away like that, and you will need to prove your worth first. Whoever shows to me that he is lazier than the others, will be the one to take the crown after I pass away".
The oldest son told him: "Father, the Kingdom belongs to me, as I am so lazy, that every time I go to sleep, I won’t even get into the trouble of closing my eyelids".
The second son told him: "Father, the Kingdom is mine, as I am so lazy, that every time I stand by the fireplace to get warm, I'd rather catch fire than move".
The third one told him: "Father, the Kingdom should be mine, as I am so lazy, that even if you give me the Crown, I'll let my brothers do the work".
As soon as his father heard him, he exclaimed: "The crown is rightfully yours".
