ONCE UPON A TIME there were three bears that lived in a house made of wood. One of them was small, the second medium, and the third one the biggest and fattest of them all. And they all had a pot of honey. So, three pots were to be found: a small, a medium and a large one. And also, three chairs to accommodate them, as well as three beds.
One day they left the house to go to the woods. A stocky man with a big, round belly then saw them, and sneaked into their house to find something to eat. First, he found the small pot, which had honey, and devoured it. As his stomach was far from full, he took the second pot, which he emptied greedily. And then the third pot, the largest, which he licked till there was not even a drop of honey left.
After his belly became swollen from eating too much honey, he thought of finding some place to rest. Seeing the three chairs, he first sat on the small one. As soon as he realized the chair was not his size, he moved to the second one, which too wouldn't fit him. Seeing that even the large one could not accommodate him, he placed all three chairs in a row. No sooner had he sat on them than they all broke into pieces.
The man then climbed the stairs where he saw the three beds. First, he tried the small one, and then the regular one, only to end up laying on the third one on which barely fit him. So, he stretched his hands to lay on the small one, and his feet to rest on the regular one. Soon thereafter he fell asleep.
A few hours later the three bears came back from the woods.
"Somebody licked the honey from my pot", complained the small bear. "And from my mine", the middle one added. "AND FROM MINE", the large one said with her loud voice. As soon as they saw their chair, they realized what had happened: "Somebody broke our chairs!".
Then they went up to the room and saw the stocky man with his bloated belly, who was sleeping on their beds. All three of them shouted at him in turns: "Wake up! Wake up! WAKE UP!". And then with one voice: "WAKE UP!", but he would barely move a muscle, as his snoring was too loud to hear them. Not knowing what to do next, they shook him with their big bear-hands, yet he wouldn’t move, as he was still in a very deep sleep.
A fly then entered through the open window, which sat on his bloated belly, giving him but a slight pinch which made him jump in the air...
